Voices of the original Enchant Link

Two teachers. One life to protect.

Arcia Leverre taught Cian how communication works. Dorgan Brassa taught him how to come back from the field. They rarely give the same advice, but neither wants the boy to face danger alone.

Communication theory

Arcia Leverre

An associate professor at the Magical Academy and Cian's communication-magic teacher. Precise, quietly ironic, and more concerned than she first lets on, Arcia turns worry into a question someone can answer.

She asks what was received, what is missing, and what still needs checking. Her patience is a way of protecting people, not keeping them at a distance.

Survival & field judgment

Dorgan Brassa

A town blacksmith, former exceptional swordsman, and army tactics adviser. Dorgan taught Cian how to survive outside the classroom. His words are short; his concern is usually disguised as an instruction.

He looks for sound footing, a way back, and the moment when thinking must become movement. Being blunt does not mean he has stopped listening.

Elserio, between two voices

A question. A practical objection.

Original conversations written for this website, with conceptual character portraits; not excerpts from the game. Arcia and Dorgan appear in the original Enchant Link. The regional exchanges introduce the wider setting, not appearances in the connected games.

01 / Cian & Astraea

One thing to check. A way back.

  1. Arcia

Cian notices a distant voice before he knows what to do with it.

  2. Dorgan

He hears trouble early. Moves late.

  3. Arcia

Then give him one thing to check, not five things to fear.

  4. Dorgan

And a short way out. “Back” will do.

  5. Arcia

Once he knows which way is back.

  6. Dorgan

Good. You ask. I'll keep him moving.

In Enchant Link, your replies help one trainee mage inspect danger, read unfamiliar marks, and decide what to do next.

02 / The Venest Mountains

A road drawn in the record.

  1. Arcia

I've heard that words can arrive late in the Venest Mountains, or return more than once.

  2. Dorgan

A retreat order that turns up after the party?

  3. Arcia

Perhaps. I would want to know when it was sent before I called it a new order.

  4. Dorgan

Then the next party needs more than a line drawn on a map.

  5. Arcia

And a royal officer would need to keep that uncertainty in the report.

  6. Dorgan

Leave room for a warning. Someone has to walk that road.

03 / The Calmina Marshes

The people waiting for a boat.

  1. Dorgan

What have you heard of the marshes?

  2. Arcia

That their lines can branch. I can't tell you why from a distant account.

  3. Dorgan

And people still need the next boat. Or medicine.

  4. Arcia

Yes. A clear order would not tell us whether a water gate was working.

  5. Dorgan

Keep the landing open. Protect the gate.

  6. Arcia

And leave a line for the family waiting for that medicine.
