The young Kingdom of Eshtamia stands among the northern Venest Mountains, where ancient ruins and powerful ether waves leave entire valleys beyond reliable royal communication.
You serve as a royal communication officer. Field parties take the risks beyond the palace; you dispatch them, read their reports, and decide whether a claim should be trusted, held for cross-checking, or marked with doubt.
The archives, researchers, military, and court do not always read the same evidence in the same way. What enters a ledger or appears on a map can become the next party's route, a rescue order, or an institutional assumption. Preserve the difference between a received message and a confirmed fact.
Meet the expedition and palace staff
Where the original Enchant Link places you beside one distant voice, Star Ledger places you at an institutional desk. Its mystery asks how imperfect communication becomes knowledge that other people must live with.

People of Eshtamia
Between the Venest field parties and the palace, a report passes through people with different duties. Some must bring a party home; others must decide what can honestly be written down.

Field commander / First petty officer
Practical and skeptical, Maren is responsible for the party beyond the palace. A label on a report matters to him when it changes whether the people in the field can return.

Palace adjutant / Second petty officer
Your analytical counterpart at the palace desk. Celia follows report order, timing, crest marks and gaps; she distinguishes a message received from a fact confirmed.

Veteran rearguard
An experienced member of Maren's party, known for practical precautions before a departure. His position at the rear of the expedition brings attention to the people returning, not only the objective ahead.

Knight and rescue specialist
Oldrick brings experience of an earlier war and a rescuer's eye for a route that can still be used. His memory gives the investigation a witness to hear and cross-check, not an unquestionable history.

Tavernmaster
Warm, witty and attentive to a change in the room, Mirei hears what people say outside the palace. Her tavern is a place to gather a lead, while remembering that a circulating story is not yet a verified report.

Training officer
Galen's instructions are short and practical. Raw talent is not his measure of success: he wants a formation that can endure an expedition and bring its members back.

Infirmary healer
Gentle in conversation and precise in care, Juno attends to the people an expedition brings home. Recovery takes time; another dispatch does not erase the cost of the previous one.

Archive clerk
Calm and exacting, Lydia cares about the source of a claim and the doubt that belongs beside it. The archive must preserve a useful record without making uncertainty disappear for the sake of a tidy entry.
